Maybe that's a good thing! :D

I'm sorry we didn't connect - we got there early and when the wind kicked up the baby had had enough so I got out of there quickly before a meltdown. We will definitely be there next time or maybe at an activity. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6943257212890271016.post-89033730897507099772009-09-04T14:10:03.203-07:002009-09-04T14:10:03.203-07:00Yeah, big fan of the mud girls here. So often refer to them for inspiration, not just in "mud" but in life philosophy.

On another note, saw you at the home school gathering yesterday. Glad you could make it. I was impressed and encouraged with the number of new members and new faces! I was pretty busy with my kids, my little ones always go through an adjustment "warm up" period when we re-enter the "scene" in the fall, so I was very focused on their needs, and catching up with old friends... by the time I had a chance to go over and introduce myself, you were gone.

I'll try again next time :)

Hope you enjoyed your "grown-up" time!
KristaKrista Morrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03926543482266069811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6943257212890271016.post-89562633640016091902009-09-02T18:48:14.959-07:002009-09-02T18:48:14.959-07:00Well, if you really want to know more about cob, y...Well, if you really want to know more about cob, you need to talk to the Mud Girls (http://www.mudgirls.ca)

They are technically legal under the new BC code which allows for alternative building materials. There have been cob buildings done in downtown Vancouver and in Victoria. Read the comments on this post for the nitty gritty of what it involves:
http://www.sustainablebuildingcentre.com/forum-topic/qu_is_cob_building_allowed_by_zoning_regulations_in_canadaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6943257212890271016.post-84048635710171926112009-09-02T18:24:23.062-07:002009-09-02T18:24:23.062-07:00Cob isn't legal here I don't think? I don't believe it can be built "to code", except in Cedar, where I've heard you don't need to build to code.... yet. I am sure a big fan of it though, I love the bench down at Thirsty Camel, and we have the perfect property for building with cob -- so much clay!Krista Morrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03926543482266069811noreply@blogger.com
